The Ministry of Development Planning & Statistics (MDPS) has released the Machinery & Equipment Price Index (MEPI) for the Second Half of 2017, Which reached 101.6 points.

Machinery & Equipment Price Index is one of the indices issued by the ministry. The year 2013 was selected as a base.

A comparison of the MEPI of Second Half, 2017 with the First half, 2017, noticed that MEPI decrease by 0.20 % affected by five groups recorded slightly drooping as follows : "Office, Accounting and Computing machinery" with 1.00%, "Radio, television and communication equipment and apparatus" with 0.20% ,  "Metal machinery and tools" with  0.19 % ,  finally  "Musical instruments" &  "Electrical devices and appliances" with 0.10%  .

The Two groups, which increased  as follows : " Special-purpose machines" (including agricultural equipment and Mining and quarrying machinery) , " transport equipment " (including vehicles and boats) both with 0.10%.

Stability in prices "Medical devices and optical instruments" & " General-purpose machines " .
