The quarterly GDP at current prices in the Q3 of 2016 is estimated at QR 140.48 billion. This represents a decrease of 5.7% compared to the estimate of Q3 of 2015 placed at QR 149.00 billion. When compared to previous quarter (Q2 of 2016) revised estimate of QR 134.81 billion, an increase of 4.2% is noticed.
The quarterly GDP in the Q3 of 2016, at constant 2013 prices (QR 204.62 billion) shows a growth of 3.7% compared to the estimate of Q3 of 2015 (QR 197.34 billion). However, compared to the previous quarter (Q2 of 2016) revised estimate of QR 197.47 billion, an increase of 3.6% is noticed.
It is to be noted that Q2 2016 year-on-year growth rate for quarterly GDP at constant 2013 prices has been revised downwards to 1.8%, from 2.0% released previously.
