Qatar Statistics Authority has released the Producer’s Index Number with base 2006 for the second quarter 2010. The General index increased by 1.32% when compared with the first quarter 2010. 
  
     During the second quarter, mining group, which includes crude petroleum and natural gas, has increased by 2.82% when compared with the first quarter 2010. Water and electricity group shown marginal decline by -0.12% from previous quarter. Manufacturing decreased noticeably by -3.77% from previous quarter.  On the other hand, Beverages group increased by 16.26%, also metal products, machinery and equipment group increased by 3.90% when compared with first quarter.
