Dr. Chedli Baya Chatti, Chair of the Activities and Events Committee at the College of Arts and Sciences and Conference Coordinator, stated: “The theme of the conference reflects a deep recognition of the importance of linking research to real-world development challenges. It goes beyond identifying these challenges, aiming instead to explore practical solutions through the exchange of expertise between researchers and policymakers. Thus, the conference helps shape shared visions that advance the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development while aligning with the priorities of Qatar National Vision 2030."
During a presentation at the conference, Ms. Najla Al-Jaber, Director of Environmental Development Planning and Policies at the National Planning Council, stated: "Qatar's commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals is enshrined in the Qatar National Vision 2030, which places the environment at the heart of the development process, recognizing the critical importance of sustainable natural resource and biodiversity for long-term development. The Third National Development Strategy (NDS3) further reinforces this commitment through programs and initiatives that improve energy efficiency, promote green solutions, and address the challenges of climate change, thereby paving the way for a sustainable future that fulfills the aspirations of present and future generations."
