Responsibilities & Functions

1. Prepare and develop policies and standards for managing data related to strategic and operational plans and the associated statistics, in coordination with administrative units and relevant entities, and take the necessary actions for their approval and follow up on their implementation.
2. Develop objectives for data collection based on research needs and development plans to facilitate various statistical processes, in coordination with the concerned administrative units.
3. Develop cooperation mechanisms for collecting different types of statistical data, in coordination with the competent entities, and correct inaccuracies that arise during the data collection process.
4. Collect and provide various data from governmental and non-governmental administrative records.
5. Work with data-producing entities to harmonize concepts and definitions related to data in order to achieve standardized outputs.
6. Complete indicator-related forms received from national entities, in coordination with the concerned administrative units and relevant entities.
7. Implement policies and procedures to protect data from unauthorized access or breaches, in coordination with the concerned administrative units and relevant entities.
8. Establish mechanisms and frameworks for data management in line with national development strategies, in coordination with the concerned administrative units and relevant entities.
9. Develop and update controls for data access and usage, and monitor data-related activities to ensure traceability and proper auditing of how data is used.
