The population, housing and establishments census is a systematic process for collecting, classifying, analyzing and publishing demographic, economic and social data for all members of society in a specific time period.
Three censuses were conducted before the 2010 census. The first census was in 1986, the second in 1997, and the third in 2004.
The 2010 census achieved many purposes, and its results will be used in developing implementation plans for the National Development Strategies 2011-2016, working towards achieving Qatar National Vision 2030.
