Responsibilities & Functions

1. Develop policies and standards for assessing the quality of data related to strategic and operational plans and their statistics, in coordination with relevant units and entities, and follow up on their approval and implementation.
2. Develop mechanisms to test data reliability and accuracy, and address errors including duplication or incomplete data, to enhance precision and support informed decision-making.
3. Establish frameworks for regularly updating data, identify gaps or weaknesses in data quality, and propose appropriate recommendations for improvements in coordination with relevant units and entities.
4. Develop frameworks for documenting data quality processes and procedures to ensure transparency, and define procedures for handling data quality issues in coordination with relevant units and entities.
5. Monitor government entities’ compliance with the Council’s approved data policies and guidelines.
6. Periodically evaluate the quality of statistical products and reports to ensure they meet statistical quality assurance standards.
7. Conduct periodic reviews to verify government entities’ adherence to approved data management policies and standards.
8. Prepare various statistical data and take the necessary steps for publication, in coordination with the competent administrative unit and relevant entities.
