Internal Audit Department

Responsibilities & Functions

  1. Prepare the draft annual risk-based audit plan for the Council, submit it to the Secretary-General for approval, and prepare the necessary reports on audit results.
  2. Monitor compliance with the implementation of laws, regulations, and decisions governing work.
  3. Review financial policies and propose necessary amendments, and monitor their implementation.
  4. Monitor administrative activities, including procedures for employee recruitment, leave, promotions, and other employee matters.
  5. Monitor financial and accounting operations, payment vouchers, and entry procedures in accounting records.
  6. Assess risks related to financial and administrative auditing and propose measures to mitigate them.
  7. Follow up on corrective actions based on audit results and prepare periodic reports.
  8. Ensure the safety and integrity of funds, assets, furniture, equipment, buildings, and other resources.
  9. Participate in periodic and surprise inventory activities and ensure the accuracy of ledger records.
  10. Follow up on audit report outcomes and provide appropriate recommendations.

Latifa Hassan Almansuori
Latifa Hassan Al Mansouri holds a Bachelor of Laws degree, a Master of Public Policy degree, and a Master of Leadership degree, in addition to several professional certifications specializing in risk management, business continuity, and law. She is a graduate of the Qatar Leadership Centre. Her career progressed within the public sector, where she served as Head of the Legal Studies Department at the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs, and later as Director of the Legal Affairs Department at the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau. She currently serves as Director of the Legal Affairs Department and is also acting as Director of the Internal Audit Department. She has participated in several national committees, including the Grievances and Complaints Review Committee, the Permanent Disciplinary Board, and the Permanent Joint Exercises Committee.
